Nah i dont need the springs or rockers. Just want the heads, We have a lot of records of actual flow on a lot of heads but no GT 40s. Besides i need them on my work truck when we get thru flowing. PS. tell him AUTOMATICS are FASTER.

Oh, I reread what you quoted me saying...I had a third clutch fail when the actual pedal broke from the mount on the firewall. THAT was a major hassle to fix. Required all kinds of bandaid patches of steel and welding, and a large bolt going through to sandwich and hold it all together.

So, I am sorta afraid of clutches. Just nervous that they are going to fail on me when I need them most (bumper-to-bumper traffic, etc.).

When you say "records of flow" are you talking about flow testing data? I have the flow numbers of the GT40 and P heads if you want them.

Interestingly, the Ps flow better even though the exhaust valves are SMALLER! Not much better, and it is not consistently better, but overall just a little bit...

    will GT40's and GT40p's bolt right up to a "73" 302?
and how about haveing a mustang GT intake (1983 model) bolt up the them?

    Yep, yep, and yep.

The bolt patterns are identical all the way around.

Even headers will bolt right up to them but your spark plugs will hit the tubes on the P heads because of the odd spark plug angle.

I had the Ps on my stock 302 for years, and then moved them over to my new block until I found the GT40 heads. The non-P GT40 heads have the same spark plug angle as the stock heads, so there is no interference with the headers.

I have also had several different intakes and they all bolt up exactly the same way.
