tom, your fighting a losing battle....

the "majority" will never accept anything thats foreign by nature, or not as the factory made them when it comes to these little beaters that we play with. and if it does anything other than go straight it has no purpose:hmmm: ...

I know this will encite lots of flames, but thats ok..... its cold here, gotta keep warm somehow:evilsmile

    :biglaugh:

    I know you didn't just say that:D
I plan on going strait and cornoring. The Global west tubular control arms I ordered should be proof of that. The fact I am taking the time to install a toyota tacoma manual rack and pinion is further evidence are you listening???:banghead:

If nothing else this thread is helping you and Tom get your "weak"post counts up:evilsmile

Not too bad at all really. That would be a great start for someone looking for a unique and quite healthy project.

    All of us.

Would a 240Z motor go in? Mature race bits abound.
Maybe we should all have one with a non big 3 motor in it.
Hadn't looked in a few days. Great reading. Favorite line in the last 3 or 4 pages of posts: "I'll be you're huckleberry".
Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday in "Tombstone". Stole the movie. As westerns are the only movies I will actually buy there is a new "Best Western lines" topic in Off Topic.

I'm not getting what you are saying....they are both $2000 with $350 shipping

I was talking about the masflow system I'm thinking of getting for my street boss they quoted me $2400 for the kit less manifold and injectors.

    heres another one

http://www.importtuner.com/events/0402it_nhra/ (btw don't get distracted by looking at the models on that page :D )

rice that run's in the 6's! expensive yes.. but what 6 sec car isn't... wait let me get on the horn with and ask warren johnson... oh wait he's ig-nent... he said those cars are boring... funny they run just as fast as his car. :D

ok heres some water for the flames or some ice in your case :p

SHO V6 is a Yamaha motor ergo Japanese... therefore accepted by Ford as well as you.. :D

straight is fun but it gets boring fast! anyone can drive straight!

yes, I'm well aware that the yamaha sho engine is not of old henrys workshop, I've never had a problem with them, I accepted them long before we bought our first sho taurus(which was a blast to drive)...the sho was even accepted as cool by some of our snobby friends that drove bwm's and mercedes. but anyway...I have no issue with accepting them. I think its one of Fords(albeit yamaha)better engines. and they rank right up there with with my boss429 for cool looking motors:D (in my useless opinion)

(side note- after having the car for a while and finding out my wife had been beating the hell out of mitsu eclipes turbos and what not while on her way back from work in the eve. at 140mph,..and getting a few warnings for doing waaaay too fast[thank you officer,I really didnt realize I was going 25 over, we just pulled onto the road] ..we decided it was time to let it go and traded for our next thing)

I enjoy turning Both ways myself...straight is awful fun too,... but I somehow see the "anyone can drive straight" comment may get a few people going? while your calling up W.J...why dont you call up John Force and see what he says on that subject:evilsmile

That's it, I am going to put a 1.0L (993cc/61CID) Geo engine in my Maverick. :coco: I am sure that the little (55HP) Suzuki engine could get 'em going 55 in about 3 days or so.........

Can anyone name more than 1 "American" car that is 100% American? I do not think that the current Corvette can even say that it is 100%. Can it? :hmmm:

And while I am on the subject of the Corvette, how can a car have an Anniversary edition when they did NOT produce ANY car for at least one year during the production run? The Corvette was NOT made during 1983. BTW, here is the VIN# of the Corvette that was never made in 1983: 1G1AY0783D5110023. How does that grab ya'?

    Anyone remember 1995?
    You could get a 97 F150...
Or a 97 "Light Duty F250"... while the previous F250 was available right through 1997.
Oh, the new superduty 250-350s showed up in late 1997 right along side the others, and were called 99s.
    I guess there was never a 1998 F350.

    Another note on Vettes:
They were going to skip a year again with the body change in 1997, however about 200 made it out labeled 1997.
