Yeah, what an old fart. I was only 14 back then. My buddie had a comet in high school with an 8 track in it, and he bought a convertor thing so he could play cassettes with the 8 track. Another guy we sort of hung around with had a pinto wagon, what a pos that thing was. Pretty neat car for a 17 year old joeseph. Refreshing when you see younger people that are into older cars rather then some little honda to stick a body kit and big wing on. Don't worry about it being a stick shift, you will learn soon enough. Just get out and drive. I remember the first car I bought that was a stick shift. Was doing pretty well through town, got up on the highway out to the country. When I got down to the 4 way stop must of snubbed that sucker out about 10 times with cars behind me honking their horns. I think manual transmissions are a lot more fun. Hey you may even get some experience putting in a clutch too.
Just remember it... ...not my kind of guy, so I never got to know him. It was a beige big bumper Pinto with a rusty chrome sidepipe on the drivers side. I was kidding about the chain steering wheel. Seth
