I never shunned him or fought over what motor to put in there. I was just saying... the professionals don't count because they are there to make money, not completely for the fun of it I welcomed him to the board very nicely and didnt jump him like coulda happened
I support your effort and figure if you're trying to get there first, run what you have and get after it! On the other hand a couple of years ago at the race track I met a very cool guy running a Chevrolet powered '48 Ford ( if I remember right) and gave him a hard time all night long since I was running faster than him that if he didn't have his engine in backward (distributor in front) he might do better. He was a great sport and a very cool guy. Wish I had seen him again.
Andysutt, sorry if this seems to be attacking your post, but I was not pointing my 2 cents at anyone person. Just a view from my arm chair.
Hmmmm... The smoothest and best all around Ford I have ever had-My '94 SHO-was graced with a high winding Yamaha engine!
Some people can't don't 'see' beyond whats in front of them. Time again; "What else is new", says the guy with Chevy parts in his Maverick, you dig it? Guess not... LMAO In other words, I was giving the guy a hard time since he came across like he expected someone to. As I always say, it's your car, do whatever you want with it, no sweat off my back. But y'all go right on ahead with the group hug... think I'll stay out of that one. :evilsmile
Reapersmajic, The few outspoken anti-Bow-Tie Maverick owners do not necessarily represent the opinion of the majority on this site. I'm glad we have the purists here also. bowdown But, the spirit of a Maverick is to not follow a crowd, regardless of what the crowd thinks, right? You, more so than others here, match the definition of a Maverick. Personally, I believe that you've come to the right place, and good luck at the track.
