some updates on my old car.

well it is being painted a new color. as much as i like and hated the barf green it was sad to see it get painted when the original paint was in such good condition!

anyhow it is getting a carbon fiber grabber hood painted with the stripes left in carbon.

the engine is out and it has aussie aluminum cyl head with a 2 barrel carb and headers ready to go on it too! ;) sorry no photos of that i rely on what the guy sends me. the motor was in decent condition for being original had only 130k on it and hardly any grove!

also good to see my old converter in it too! 11 inch 2800 stall in a stock maverick. was great! lol!

anyhow it is good to see that what getting done to it is what i always wanted to do but didn't have the time to do.

That looks like the ClassicInlines aluminum cylinder head and alloy intake. Can you find out if he had any clearance issues between the intake manifold and the shock tower? I'm also curious how he is going to route the heater hoses now. Thanks.

it is super tight. hard to say until the motor runs and see how much it cranks over when it torques over.

one issue is the headers are super close so we used a micro starter worked out well.
