Another trick piece I really liked was my nitrogen assist kit.
Some hate them some love them. I got more passes out of my bottles with it and never had to sea with pressure loss.

Take a look at them in my opinion they are a real nice addition to a good nitrous kit.

Not sure if it was because I ran two fuel pumps and a return but I never had an issue using a fuel pressure shut off.....it actually saved my butt one day. Had my cheapo O'Reilly special fuel pump fail making a pass and would have never noticed until it was too late.

a lot of good info here thank you guys very much! lots of things to think about for me. i always heard that the hei was strong enough for a little nitrous, maybe ill keep the shot a little smaller until i get a box system. my kit came with a WOT switch as is.... and it also is only single stage so is a WOT/RPM window switch necessary?

the window switch is a really good safty feature and tuning feature. you want the "window" to close right after you predetermined shift point. if for some reason like your trans blowing up or sliping or missing a shift or drive shaft braking, the nitrous will turn off and over rev the motor. then you adjust the on rpm to help with launch tuning.

ohhhhhh i understand i think. basically helps launch and its a 'just in case' safety feature.... that sounds like a good idea to me

basically protects your engine if it over revs for whatever reason.
