same thing same thing happened to my son the tranny does not have a locking setting (something to keep the gear selector in park) it could be in the steering column. I have neglected to fix it at work the other day I had it idling and was outside talking to a buddy when my buddy's eyes got really big ........ the comet had droped into reverse and his truck was 3 ft behind it ......... luckily since this happened to my son once (had to fix a fence to learn a lesson) the parking brake is adjusted so that the car will not move when in gear, still haven't figured out what would fix the problem though ........
