performance upgrades???

    70 mav, 71 grabber, 73 Comet, 2004 f-250 crew cab diesel, 2001 f-250, 2004 explorer, 2007 Gold Wing trike.
    I'd suggest a 302, at least. If you are worried about going above 70 now. How do you think it will handle some upgrades. Eventually there is a limit somewhere inside the stock 40 year old engine parts. I'd hate to see you spend all that money on the 6's upgrades and then lose the motor. You'd just have to start all over again.:)

    :Welcome:from, Michigan. You could search the internet for 6 cyl performance up grades. I have herd there are many.

    So a crate 302 would be a good choice then? If i upgrade to a 302 i would probably need to replace my transmission too right? I was wanted to tranny swap anyway because i would love to put a manual transmission into it. I just have a lot more fun driving a manual over an automatic. i have heard anny transmissions are good . . . any thoughts on that?

    the engine is the first piece...(302, 331, 347 LSX)
    then...
    5-speed transmission, transmission crossmember :D , rear gear, axles, drive shaft, brakes, tires/rims, traction components, radiator, gauges, tach, motor fan, ETC, ETC. ETC.
    just to mention a few...:huh:

    ...how fast = how much money do you have...:thumbs2:

    oh i see, well rear axel, (drum brakes on rear), tires, tach are already on the car. i guess i better start saving for the rest :oops:
