    Ok got it, damn wish I would have had a contest to see who would be right on guessing the problem, it was the...............drum roll.....................................................................................................................................................................CARB!!!!

    Yep I saw where you said carb, it has pretty much rained here for two weeks straight, I, even though I have a shop, still hate to go out and do anything in the rainy weather, plus I did think it was some bent valves :rofl2:

    Sooo, what was wrong with the carb? How did you figure it out? What was the fix?

    I am not even going to mess with that carb, I have another that I stuck on it and it ran as it should then, I am just gonna clean up the "good" carb and run it, it's a 600 Cfm the other one was 750 Cfm, I will take it apart and look to see if I can find the problem later on, after all the switching heads and looking over the valve train it was as simple as switching carbs to get it to run with no backfire...geeze "Maverick Life" I guess!
