Looks To Have Had A Vinyl Top As Well...i Wonder What Color It Was. Most Likely Black....with A Purple Car...orrrr Maybe White
I haven't messed with the seat yet. (i couldn't do it in its old parking spot, But i just moved it to a new spot in front of my apartment today). I'll try to do it my next days off. I have a another question: On the carburetor, how many lower gaskets do i need? Autozone.com says "1 to 2 needed", and The guy at autozone said it should be 1, but i should ask before i do it. Is it one? Thanks for all the help everyone!
I think we could safely say beyond a reasonable doubt that it was a bucket seat car. Personally, I'm 100% positive that it was.
true... i like to be devils advocate! ok that is a better pic... you must admit those first photos looked purple to me.
My first car was a 70 Challenger that was Plum Crazy Purple with a black vinyl top. Once I saw the later pics of the car, that was exactly what I envisioned, Dodge colors on a Ford Maverick. Even the inside trunk and door sill pics look like the right shade as well. I love a good mystery and can't wait to hear more! Richard
No new news to update on... But i do have a question... Is there anyone living in oregon that would want to do an inspection on a maverick? Hahaha. I have been finding a lot more wrong with it then i originally anticipated (i didnt think it would be an easy task by any means, Just thought getting it to run would be reletively easy with a few part replacements). Every time i go out to fix something, I get nothing done and add more stuff to my list of issues (today it was the Fuse box, Which i found out is made of rust and has no fuses). I can't let it sit much longer (roof won't like the oregon weather in its current state and i cannot sand it here, And my manager hates broken cars). I'm not too mechanically inclined..I can replace stuff, But i suck at finding and diagnosing problems with the engine (haven't had a lot of experience). Anyways, Just figured i would put that out there....If anyone is around oregon and would inspect it for a little cash.. It'd help immensely (My plan B is to take it to a shop...But i have to find a truck to tow it first.)
well if your close enough "Yellow75" is a great guy to deal with and he definatly knows his mavericks!
