Took a long hard look at the rain gutters today. I think I will leave them on. I like the way they frame or "shape" the entire window area. I did remove the chrome trim and I will smooth the channel so it looks smooth and finished on the inside edges. and roundover the rear bottom edge a bit so it doesn't end so squarely without the chrome.
BIGbully, I read your signature and was wondering if that is a 4.6L 32 valve motor you installing out of a late model car?
Hey wardf. Yes the engine tranny I am getting is a 4.6 32V DOHC and AOD from a Lincoln MarkVIII. I was supposed to get them on the weekend but I couldn't coordinate a delivery time. Looks like mid-week. I am really excited and feel like a kid for the first time in years. I love engines. I plan on twin turbos and 5.0 liter stroker kit in the future for a solid 800+ horses.
that will be pretty awesome. How are you planning on installing it? I mean are you going with a mustang 2 frontend or a total chassis setup or what?
wardf - I am planning on going with as wild a chassis as I feel is comfortable on the street. definitely want a tube front end and a back halved car with a cage. I want it to drive it on the street and to some cruises so rollcage intrusion of the cabin will have to be kept to a minimum. I'm thinking a foulink rear with eurathane bushings for a decent street ride. As soon as I get the engine and transmission I think I will get a better Idea for what I will need for engine room since these engines are huge. My goal is a solid 9 second street car, even if it takes me a while to accomplish it.
