The Mustang shop estimate....was it for putting the car on a frame rack? Or at least pulling the quarter back out? If not...was it a "slap enough bondo on it to make it look good enough" estimate?

nope he told me he would pull the frame on a machine and then straighten what ever didnt come out like the quarter panel or the tail light panel and replace the tail light itself leaving the somewhat bent bumper

Why no estimate on the bumper? If it was hurt in the accident, it should be on the estimate.

Otherwsie, I thought $1800 seemed real resonable. I would say too reasonable.

yep back aches get there attention real fast. just start saying I have been having headaches and Im thinking its from delayed whiplash syndrome and my blood pressure has been high ever since the accident.
theyll tell you to settle before you ever see a doctor. its in there best interest to pay you before you see a doctor. then they dont only have you to pay they have doctors and then theres the lawyers so now they have three people to pay. doctors and lawyers add up FAST! and make sure you tell them you dont have medical insurance if they start giving you any lip.
I know a GOOD lawyer for just this sort of thing.

I got the $12 grand I owed on my car paid off. I got my lawyer $5 grand I got my doctor $5 grand AND I ended up with just short of $10 grand when it was said and done. and that was without any injuries I couldnt recover from.

Get a classic car appraisal on the car noting it's value before and after the accident. Slap them with that.

Well if the take the offer and keep the car you can take it to a frame shop to make sure it's straight...................then do the work yourself...........great learning experience..........and you've got $2700 to play with on the car.
On the other hand, since looking at Mavericks for sale lately, although I haven't seen a lot of pictures of your car, but it should be more like $4k than $3k...............................IMHO

you can counter that offer and tell them no $3500 and you keep the car. see what they say. if they say no then take the offer theyve given you already. just give em another call to mess with them a little to see if you can squeeze a little more money out of em. the more the merrier right? they would do that to you. you cant lose anything by asking one more time. youve got a fair deal but it decreases the value of your car. even after the repairs according to them. are they going to total the car?

Be careful. You don't want some sort of rebuilders title..
