I have an AC compressor but no p/s so would I be able to use the p/s pulley for the AC?

mo, i have some crank pullys, an alt pully, and water pump pullies that should work for you. we just need to change the pully/clutch on the ac to a serpentine pully. i think i have an edelbrock water pump too that is reverse rotation. all you should need is the alt bracket. for that you could use a stock one from a mustang, or you can get a march one like used in the pics above.

Yes it is absolutely worth some power. Check out this company www.jonesreacingproducts.com . When I was into building cooling systems full time we used a lot of there stuff and that question came up. So one day we replaced one of there employees standard GM truck v-belts systems with one of there multi-belt serp. systems and it raised the idle rpm by 700rpms! The reason is that it take 45% less belt tension to spin the system with out slipage. If you use one of thier radius tooth kits it's even more.
