Steering column collar interchange for 1971?

    So I did this today. I used a 71 - 73 Mustang column and removed the two top collars. I used the turn signal, ignition switch, and key cylinder from my 75 Maverick. Fits like factory, no problems. So as far as I am concerned it is confirmed, it works at least for me.

    Great to hear. There are differences between the columns, but it seems to all be in the pieces that swap!

    I posted a link near the top of this thread and replied that I had used late model F150 parts on mine. I have not put it into service but it all bolted together just fine.

    It would be helpful to know the Ford casting/part number on those collars that work.

    I posted the actual part number, the engineering/casting number on collar is probably different...

    I saw that you posted a part number.
    Others have reported other cars and trucks too. Hoping to get a more complete list or one that overlapped.
