Hmm, why would my lash be off soo much? After 500 miles it was way off on 2 cylinders. Nuts and stops were tight. The springs were the only thing i could think of.

Scotty; did you use lash caps? I don't know if you would with solid lifters, but check and see if they were left off those two valves. Had that happen once on a car I had, and I never could keep the valves adjusted.....till I put the lash caps back on. Just a stab at it, but give it a check. Good luck!

No caps, brand new heads. I set them last noight and it runs fine. After the comment from FredH I am at a loss as to how I lost that much in lash. (edelbrock told me to expect some setteling but Fred disclaimed that idea) I am just happy the vibration was related to that.

If you have all new components, it could just be the break in thing, although that is a lot of break in. If you are running a flat tappet cam, you might want to get a dial gauge and check the lift on your valves. Especially the 2 cylinders that were loose. Also pull the push rods and make sure they are still straight.

Could Edelbrock have been referring to settling of the valve seats? That may happen but if it does, lash will decrease instead of increase as it did in your case.
