Just discovered that the VIN shows a "L" in the fifth position of the VIN and my Motors manual identifies the "L" as noting the engine being a 250 cid. I'm getting crossed-up on this thing, I'll have to record the Engine Serial number and try to get a firm confirmation of engine size. Once again...Wish Me Luck! "Garv"

It's been done, there was actually a turbo'd one in Car Craft awhile back. The problem is that the 300 is a truck engine and is significantly longer, so its a huge change. Just trying to fit the radiator in will be difficult, lots of fabrication involved. For the least amount of change just drop in a 302. Not that much work as all the parts exist from the factory.

Drove it. Car runs great. Nice day today " abt 60deg" and mostly sunny.
Went to Sears hardware "Alsip IL", bought some of the "hand" tools "Flex-GearWrenches" they had on sale - 50% off. They had some nice deals. May go back tommorrow, won't be driving the Comet "suppose to rain".

I took my car in to the glass shop to have my windshield gasket and rear window gasket changed out. The kid doing it told me he had never seen a maverick much less worked on one. But he sat there and laughed when another customer, an older gentleman proceeded to tell me how he had a mustang just like mine but it was a 65 and boy was it a fast car.:biglaugh:

Though I drive through the valley of imports, I shall fear no turbo; For torque art with me. Thy eight pistons and pushrods, they comfort me

Made in America...not just assembled here

    AMEN!
