Thought about drilling new holes. But that changes the position of the tranny as well. I'm already going to have a tight fit with the 69.5 tunnel. Maverickgrabber, I compared the mounts with Inline6's when I got them. They measured up the same. Next step is to move mounts around and try it again.

I thought that looked wrong too, but it really does work. :)

No because the frame mount surface is at an angle. The engine mount and frame mount surfaces are supposed to sit flat against each other. You can easily slide the bolt in & out when they are sitting the way they are supposed to be. Drilling a hole higher up will also space them further apart. If you had enough material to raise the motor and drill holes through the frame and engine mounts, the weight and pressures would fall on the bolts with a perfect shear plane at each end.

    Engine is in !!!!!
 !#@&%*&^%$#! SWAYBAR !!! Harmonic balancer was hitting swaybar. Also the frame mounts were backwards. Now if someone could look at the engine heighth. Look at the pics of the location of the exhaust ports in relation to the shock tower notches, does this look right ???

Looks alot better. Question: Should there be paint on the gasket surface of the exhaust ports?

I did cut more out than most notched towers I've seen. In fact I had to grind on the a-arms a little. Now to figure out headers !! What are you using for exhaust scrapper60 ? I may just use stock 302 manifolds.

MaverickGrabber, do you know the part number for the Hedman headers that fit the 351w in a Maverick ? Trying to figure out exhaust now. One hurdle at a time !!!

All that awesomeness and your going to ruin it with stock manifolds? Come on now... :p

Jamie, I know the stock manifolds will choke it but, depending on the cost of headers I would rather drive it with stock manifolds than just look at sitting in the garage !!! Unless you could swing my daughter's college tuition or my son's driving school fees!!:biglaugh::rofl2:
