Dan, you just reminded me. There was a factory AM/FM radio in a early F100 Ranger XLT. Said Motorola on top and had the slideing chrome bar without the Stereo on it. I'm going back down there tomarrow to get a V8 frame brace for someone, if you know what numbers should be on the radio I will check it out and get it for you. I almost bought it today but decided to wait till I checked with you first.
I just looked a pictures of F100 radios on eBay ... they are no the same as a Mavericks.. Thanks .... 70 Falcons used the same radio though if you see one of them.
No problem. I'm going to both the Henry County and Norcross PAP tomarrow. I'll print off the pic of the radio you posted and I'll keep an eye out.
To be completely honest, if I found something like that I would probably keep it for my own projects.
If you remember, I would still like one of those metal-backed turn signal cams (2 if you can find them, so I don't have to go through all of this again 5 years down the road). I will pay you dearly. Well...maybe not dearly, but at least fairly
Scoop, no good turn signal cams. Thats always one of the first things I look for. I'm done JY'in for a few weeks. I left behind several parts that someone in GA might be intrested in. One set of sport mirrors, didn't have time or money to get them, they looked pretty decent, were on a late 70's Thunderbird, one set of V8 frame mounts on a '70 Maverick, didn't get them because the car still has the engine in it and I didn't feel like screwing with it, at least 2 good drivers side fenders, one good passenger side, at least one set of disc brake spindles. All these parts are in the Henry County Pull-A-Part as of right now, probably won't last long though. Wasn't much worth while at the Norcross Pull-A-Part today. A couple of sets of sport mirrors that were VERY rough, cracked, and broke. Did get another intermittent wiper setup and another control box there though and a couple of nice turn signal levers for free.
A few pics for your viewing displeasure. '75 4 door I got the rust free hood, frame mounts, double hump cross member off of, car still has the original trunk mat which I forgot to get a pic of. '83 Capri RS Turbo, sport mirrors I left, some funny looking little car I just had to get a pic of, and an Oldsmobile Tornado just like Jay Leno's. Well, maybe not.
THe "Little Car" is A Nash Metropolitan there's one in Ht rodding I think it was with a 302 shoe horned
That sounds right. The barcode stock # sticker on the side of it says it's a 1956 AMC AMX. Didn't think so.
i've got a friend that has a restored metropolitan. there's actually quite a following for those cars.
It's funny that you're talking about green rust free hoods. About 2 months ago, I bought a green rust free hood for $30 at a salvage (same color as Jamie's). What's with the green rust free hoods?
