Man, thats Cool!!!! It's so funny when I go to get gas in my 71, the young people today (in there 20's) don't even know what kind of car it is! I proudly reply....It's a Maverick!
I love stories like that. Reminds me of myself. Although, I'm more interested in your 57 Ranchero, Mavaholic. And I promise my little nephew is willing to do the car with me...
Don't tempt me Mavaholic. I've been browsing for one for about a year. Is yours a A or B body Ranchero?
I am a 15 year old and own a Maverick as does my older brother and most people have never heard about Mav's around here but soon all my friends will know when my restoration is all done...1 more month or so!!!
PS-- I've also seen a change toward V8 power and classic muscle...not that trendy and ugly rice crap DIE RICE!
Has the side trim. Its a very old restoration. Outer sheet metal is decent. Rear floors need some work. Paint is old laquer and flaking off in spots. It basically needs a complete restoration but is a great canidate and is complete and running. I really want a 57 2 dr wagon.
Aw, the ole ranch wagon or courrier. The owner of Ken's Falcon, aka Highway Classics, which was bought out by California Mustang last year, had a very nice rust free 2 dr wagon that he sold for $4500 & that car was worth every dime. I got mad at him for not telling me that the car was for sale. I've got a 63 1/2 260 4 speed Ranchero & I use to buy a ton of parts from him & always drooled on that car in his shop every time I went in. He had owned the car fo over 20 years, although I never saw it on the road. Even out here in California, almost every 57 Ranchero that I see is rusted behind the front seat on the floors. Got any pics of yours?
