ford did put a c-4 behind an FE in the early 70s, not that anyone would want to try that swap, hehehehe. the aeromotive maverick runs a 427 FE, I talked to them, pretty nice people, tube chassis car I think.

It's possible they did. My trans book lists no engine larger than 351 in the 70s using the C4 unless they didnot list some truck applications. As i'm sure your awhere that the C4 in stock form would not be reliable in the presence of that much torque for public use. I would think that this drag car is using an after market bellhousing marketed by one of the trans modifier companies that i've saw listed, to mount C4 and AODs against the FE family of engines. Contact them again and ask about there bell housing.
