What are some 200 engine mods?

I found a guy who may trade me for his Black 2 door 76 Comet with 6cyl 200. If I make the trade what kind of [cheap] engine modifications could i make to improve performance? How good are these engines? Any info at all would be appreciated sine i've never owned an inline 6 car.
